During this time of rapid changes concerning both education and climate, promotion of strategies and practice that address the question of sustainable development within all types of education is of highest importance. The conference takes place only few weeks prior to the global COP 15 conference on climate change in Copenhagen, December 2009 and aims at bringing agents involved in sustainable development and education in the Baltic Sea region together in order to present ans discuss the latest developments, research, experiences, needs, new initiatives and suggestions for next steps within this field. This will happen by a combination of presentations, roundtable-discussions and panel-debates.
